Wow it sure has been a while! It has been fun looking back on some old posts from when I had more time to blog, listen to awesome music and not work quite as much. I do still like to do those things and am looking forward to doing more of that once school finishes this summer. This blog may however, turn into more of a focus on getting into the Foreign Service. I have applied with the State Department and am taking the FSOT in June. If I can pass that test, I'll document the path of getting hired and what life is like as a FSO. More to come!

Update
So I've been really slack on keeping my blog up. Lots has been going on since the last update back before mother f'ing Thanksgiving!
Terra and I are in our 5th week of winter term here at PCC (Go Panthers!) after a nice holiday break that found us going to Mexico and meeting some of the fam for Christmas.
My baby bro Tyler and his special lady Steph are to be wed this July. Can't believe how quickly time is going, before I know it I'll be watching Tyler get his wedding on!
Winston had his 7th birthday on January 4th and what a good day that was. I cooked him some scrambled eggs for breakfast then we took him to Tryon State Park where he was able to romp about and get soggy and muddy. For dinner, we prepared him a small salmon fillet which I think he really enjoyed. We were so fortunate to be able to celebrate the special day with our favorite little man.
The past few months I've been super anxious about wanting to take random trips without much consideration for where we'll find the money or time to go on these trips. I've felt a bit better the last couple weeks as I've decided to commit to hunkering down with my school. I applied to PSU for fall term this year and will be going from there to graduate school to get my m.a. in international relations. All this will be done in a few years and I'll finally be ready to have my big kid job and get out there to see the rest of the world.
Also, this movie is coming out and I am going to go see this so hard!
Toodles for now, WR227 beckons my name!

Smokin'
Not smoking illicit substances with my dangerous friends, rather, smoking a fine cigar at the Shilo Inn of Beaverton at the moment. They've got free wifi and are cigar friendly so I'm studying for my second Anthropology midterm of the semester here. Fun stuff! I think this is a great place to make flash cards for sure. I'm also recommending the song below, I found the album last year and found it great to revisit it today. Enjoy!

Midterm
Studying for my Anthropology midterm, listening to this album that just came out today, sipping a Tecate and getting a cuddle from my hound. Not too bad...

Sep 12th
Been too long since I've updated my blog! The last few weeks have mostly been spent working 2-3 days per week and the rest of the week going somewhere. I've been to the coast, Seattle, Vegas and currently in Klamath Falls. Only the finest destinations for moi. Currently chillin with my main man Winston and listening to some funk music, such as the song below.

Sunday-Wednesday
I recently had a job change and now have Sunday through Wednesday off...every single week. This is my first day off from everything since the last week of June. Holy balls I have no idea what to do with my time now and I love it...hard.
